The Richmond Ballet: Drama in the River City

Richmond, Virginia is nicknamed the River City. To capture and showcase the magic of both the city and of the dancers of the Richmond Ballet, we worked with the creative team at Karnes Coffey Design to create an underwater world that would elevate the etherial lighting and beautiful photography of Tom Maher.

The final visuals highlight the dancers’ fluidity, strength, and grace, and connect the performers to Richmond and its audiences. The result was an iconic campaign winning honors such as a for the Photography Annual 2020 and a Silver Graphis for the Advertising Annual 2020.
